Date Started: c. 2013/2014?
Date Finished: Abandoned in 2018
Materials: Crochet Cotton size 10, Joann’s
Colors: Black, Royal Blue, White
Width: 0.75”
Length: 39.5”
Number of Cards: 21
Purpose: Unknown, trim for my blue apron dress?
Fearghus built me a loom and Sylvie taught me how to use the loom
Sylvie showed me how to warp the loom and gave me some tips (blanket pin to keep cards from rotating; cotton rope to keep strings in order)
Put white paint on A-hole to make sure cards were evenly rotated
The loom was hard for me to use. I struggled to successfully rotate the band.
Each of the four card threads were tied together into a bundle. It was tedious to untie each bundle when it was time to rotate the band.
When I moved in 2015, the loom got messed up and I ignored it because I was too lazy to fix the pattern. Moved two or three more times and it only got worse.
2018: Finally went through and got the cards back in order. Using the loom was still tedious and Dreki had made me an inkle loom, so I cut my loses and cut off the band to retrieve my tablet weaving cards.
Haven’t decided what to do with the band yet; currently being used as a display piece for my tablet weaving classes
