Grades 10-12 Semester course, .63 credit
This class is designed to allow student athletes to better prepare themselves for competition through proper eating habits. There is no doubt that eating the right foods at the right times significantly improves performance and weight, as well at future health and well being. The class will focus on proper eating habits, nutrition, and self awareness. We will study about proper nutrition for athletes in both the classroom setting an in the cooking labs. Each chapter will be interlaced with opportunities to get hands on and make some healthy foods that fit with what we will be learning about. There is a $25 dollar fee for this course which will cover the food we make in class.
