Google MyMaps

Overview:

MyMaps is an App included in the School Google Suite. It's the perfect tool when you want students to identify places on a map by creating the map itself. Drop pushpins in desired locations, add a picture and text to the pushpin, even customize the look of the pushpins. When multiple points are identified on the map a tour is created with all the data points and information. The MyMaps file is saved to your Google Drive and can be collaborated and shared just like any other Google Doc. So anytime you have a computer connected to the internet a MyMaps can be created or viewed. Another key feature is that maps that are created can be embedded in other tools giving students the opportunity to 'create their own media'.
