About Us

Ms. Keefe, with her daughters Erin and Hannah, in Costa Rica.

Hello! I’m Ms. Keefe and can you believe that this is my 26th year teaching at Day School? I taught third grade for 21 years and this is my 5th year teaching in fourth grade. I love it! Day School is a special place.

I live in Tyngsboro with my younger daughter Erin (age 16) and our Golden Retriever Murphy who is 3 ½ years old now. My older daughter Hannah is 19 and a sophomore in college at Penn State. Erin is a junior at WA and is busy with sports all year round. I love relaxing at the beach with the girls in the summer, reading, and spending time with family & friends. I love games too but Erin always beats me at Monopoly. Cooking a nice meal is also a fun thing to do in my free time.

I knew I wanted to be a teacher from when I was in middle school. It can be hard at times, but I love the challenge of helping students improve their skills, learn new topics, and making school a fun and safe place to be.

Ms. Poirier with her daughter, Maddie, and her son, Will, in Paris.

I'm Ms. Poirier and I am starting my 19th year teaching fourth grade at the Day School.

My favorite subject to teach is math.  When I was in fourth grade, I struggled with math; I hated it!  But I had some really great teachers who helped me learn to love it.  That is why I love to teach it now. I want to help those strugglers be successful. My second favorite subject to teach is social studies.  I love anything related to history and culture!

I am also a mom of 2 Westford students.  My daughter, Madeleine, is beginning her junior year (11th grade) and my son, William, is starting his sophomore year (10th grade) at Westford Academy.  Both went to Miller, Day School, and then Stony Brook.  We spend our weekends at basketball and soccer games and going to swim practices!

I love to spend my free time hiking with my 3 year old Golden Irish puppy, Kingsley. Does anyone want to guess who he is named after? I also love to head to the family lake house where I can kayak in the morning and read on the dock!
