Meet our Advisor!
I did not obtain my role as an FFA advisor through a traditional path. I attended South Dakota State University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science and Agricultural Leadership. I also came from a very small school that did not have an FFA program. Instead, I was heavily involved in 4-H, an organization that played a significant role in shaping who I am today. I have continued to stay active in my community by serving as a member of the local fair board.
From a young age, I knew I wanted to give back to the community that had such a meaningful impact on me as a young agriculturist. I am incredibly excited and honored to serve as the advisor for the Western Christian FFA chapter. Working with students who are passionate about serving others and committed to growing into the best versions of themselves is truly rewarding.
One of my favorite memories so far has been attending the National FFA Convention. Experiencing an event of that magnitude for the first time—especially through the eyes of my students—was unforgettable. Watching them discover the countless opportunities available to them brings me immense joy and reinforces why this role is so important to me.
As a student from a small school with limited opportunities, I have made it my mission to ensure my students have access to everything available to them. Livestock and leadership have always been central to my life. Growing up, I showed cattle competitively, an experience that opened many doors for me across the Midwest and played a major role in shaping my path. These experiences continue to guide my passion for mentoring students and preparing them for success both inside and outside of agriculture.
