In the FLES model, students learn Spanish just like any other special. This year, students at each elementary school will have Spanish once a week for one semester. Some classes have Spanish now, others have Health now and will switch to Spanish halfway through the year.

¡Hola! My name is Dori Carpenter, Sra. Dori to my students. I studied Spanish and education at Providence College and studied abroad at the University of Salamanca in Spain. I have been teaching Spanish since 2010, including all levels from kindergarten to grade 12. For 8 years, I taught the elementary Spanish program in Chariho. Now I'm in my third year here in Westerly. I am excited to see how much the students remember and what we can add to their vocabulary this year!
