Welcome to the Saccarappa School Social Work Page!
Hello Saccarappa friends! It's Mr. Jeremy! I hope you are well! I wanted to put together this School Social Work page for you to find social work information and activities organized by topics. Any activities are informational and are not required. They are here as a resource for those interested in diving deeper into different school social work topics.
For specific activities that I am posting, please see our Saccarappa Therapy Corner Blog. If you have any questions for me directly, feel free to email me (Mr. Jeremy) at lynchj@westbrookschools.org or call me at 207-854-0847 x6108.
Feelings or emotions are our "sixth-sense" and they help us try and navigate our world. By becoming more aware of how we may be feeling and how others may be feeling, we can learn how to better communicate and interact with each other.
While some of these emotions can work very well for us sometimes, they may not work so well at other times--especially if we "flip our lid!" Here are some resources about "flipping our lid" and what we can do to help calm ourselves.
Social skills are all the skills that we use everyday to communicate and interact with others. These include verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Improving these skills can help us improve our relationships with others.
We are living in incredibly stressful times. Now, perhaps more than ever, it is important to take care of yourself. Self-Care is not selfish, it is a necessary first step to be able to care for others.
