As I move through Westbrook High School, I will upload projects I have completed in each of my classes. I will include a reflection on my personal and academic growth with each project and include a scoring rubric my teachers have provided for me which is based on the Westbrook Public Schools Portrait of a Graduate. I will include the following with each project I upload:
Course Name:
Teacher:
Project Name:
Grade Received:
Reflection:
Each reflection will include:
a description of the project and what was required of me;
a summary of the skills and knowledge I used to produce the project;
how I might improve upon my skills and knowledge based on the feedback I received from my teacher and my peers; and,
How my work on this project connects to my future college and career plans.

Here is an example :
Course Name: English 9 Honors
Teacher: Mr. Hall
Project Name: Luna Book Review
Grade Received: 85
Reflection: The Luna Book Review was a writing project I completed for English 9 Honors. I had to write a review of a book I had read called Luna by Julie Anne Peters. This required me to find main themes in the book as I read. I learned what it means to be a protagonist in a story and how to describe character traits. Mr. Hall scored us using the Effective Communicator and Perseverent Portrait of a Graduate Rubrics. I discovered from the feedback I received that I was doing pretty well with my writing, but that I needed to spend more time editing my work for conventions like spelling, grammar and punctuation. I also learned a little about time management during this project. I realized that I really needed to keep up with the reading as it was assigned, or I would get really far behind and need to spend a lot of stressful time catching up. It is difficult to think about how this book about a transgender main character connects to my future career plans as a finance manager in the world of business, but it does help me think about the different people I may be surrounded by in my future work. I also know that in order to be successful as a finance manager, I will need to be able to be able to write quality reports for my bosses and my clients to read and do so in a timely manner.
