The Connecticut chapter of the American Choral Directors Association, or ACDA, hosts a High School Honor Choir as part of its annual Fall Conference every October. This choir is directed by a different renowned guest conductor each year and is made up of some of the best high school choral musicians in the state!
The 2018 Honor Choir will take place on
Saturday, October 27
at Guilford High School.
Students are invited by their director to participate (no audition). $35 Registration fee includes the full day festival, lunch, and music. A full day of rehearsing, a special midday performance by three guest ensembles, culminating in a concert for parents and guests by the middle and high school honor choirs. Tickets for the performance are $5 and may be purchased in advance on Eventbrite.com.
Participating students will be given copies of music and should begin preparing as soon as possible.
