Step 3: Refer back to the "The Seventh Man" found on M1A2.
Step 4: Open the Google slides below and make a copy.
Step 5: Complete the required slides.
Step 6: Turn in both the Google slides and the note-catcher into Slate.
Step 1: Watch the video on the right called Sensory Details.
Step 2: Read the excerpt from Speak located under the video.
Step 3: Highlight and identify the sensory language used throughout the text. An example has been highlighted and identified for you. You must highlight one example for each sense.
Step 4: Turn the document into Slate.
Step 1: Watch the video on the right called Dialogue Rules.
Step 2: As you watch take notes on the graphic organizer located below the video.
Step 3: Open the worksheet below and follow the instructions about adding dialogue.
Step 4: Turn the completed worksheet and notes in to Slate.
Step 1: Open and make a copy of the worksheet located to the right.
Step 2: Select either the excerpt from The Life of Pi or Speak to complete the Performance Task.
Step 3: Complete the worksheet using the text you chose.
Step 4: Once you have completed the assignment, review the competency requirements below.
Step 5: If you believe the assignment meets the criteria for the grade you are aiming for, turn it in to Slate.
*Remember this is a performance task which means it is an opportunity for you to display your mastery of the content. Take your time and turn in your best work.
Before moving on to the next Milestone, complete the following steps.
Step 1: Get your credit slip.
Step 2: Open your competency dashboard.
Step 3: Copy your scores from the dashboard onto your credit slip.
Step 4: Conference with your teacher about what percentage this score translates to.
Step 5: If you are happy with your grade, move on to the next milestone, if not, redo the performance tasks that are subpar until you earn the grade you are happy with.
