Goal: Have a meeting with your mentor that allows you to communication your academic goals and ask clarifying questions.
Role: As the student, you are entering the world of high school.
Audience: Mentor, teacher
Situation: You will have a meeting with your mentor to discuss your academic goals and ask any questions you have.
Product: A list of questions for your mentor, notes about academic goals, and notes about your clearly communicated conversation. There may be things the mentor shares with you as well, so make notes at the bottom.

Seek Out Mentoring and Support
Be sure to meet with your mentor and school counselor so they can provide you the best help possible. Talk to your friends about their goals. Talk to your parents and see if they know people in your interested field of work. This is the time to gather information about possible careers.
