Now that you have identified what skills employers are looking for, it's time for your second Performance Task. Using the information you learned about 21st Century Skills (Fluencies) in Modules 3 and 4, create a current resume. Remember, if this is your first job, the thing you are going to be emphasizing are those skills you have identified as ones you currently possess. If this is not your first job, you will want to emphasize how you have demonstrated proficiency in these skills in your current work environment. The following link contains information about high school resume writing, both with and without work experience, so it is a good place to start; however, feel free to utilize whatever resources you find the most useful, including your guidance counselor and mentor. As always, make sure that you schedule any appointments in advance, provide a written summary of your meeting and action plan, and submit all required documents to your Career and College Success B Slate Classroom.
