Performance Task 1

In September, every Idaho senior will receive an acceptance letter to the state's eight public higher education institutions. Now that you've conducted your own research on three state institutions, it's time for your first Performance Task. Using the website "Next Steps" created by the Idaho State Board of Education (to the right of the red arrow below), you will now apply to one of the schools you have received an acceptance letter to. In addition, you will download a copy of "12th Grade: Next Steps Checklist" and complete the following tasks:

• Schedule a meeting with your guidance counselor. Be sure to provide a written summary of meeting, and your course of action plan.
• Schedule a meeting with two of your teachers to request Letters of Recommendation, following the meeting format contained on the "Next Steps" link. Letters must be submitted as part of this Performance Task, so give the teachers you selected plenty of lead time to write the letter.
• Update your senior year Google Calendar to include important dates and deadlines as outlined in "Next Steps."

Please create a Google Document to record meeting summaries, and share your updated Google Calendar with your instructor and mentor. As always, please submit all documents to your Career and College Success B Slate Classroom...and by now, you know the policy about using complete sentences when you write.
