Field Trips

Wednesday, March 25th - Los Angeles Eco-Village

• Departing from Wesley after the regular school day begins.

Students will learn about an ecologically, socially, and economically healthy community right here in LA. LA Eco-Village is a demonstration of sustainable community development. This will help to kick off our Signature Project research, during which students will be challenged to think about sustainability and alternative ways of using space in Los Angeles.

Itinerary

8:15 am - Normal school arrival, Community

9:00 am - Departure from Wesley School

9:45 am - Arrival at Eco-Village, snack

10:30 am - Tour program

12:00 pm - Break for lunch

12:30 pm - Q&A with tour guides

2:00 pm - Return to Wesley School

What to Bring:

• bottle of water (reusable bottles highly encouraged, labeled with name)
• small backpack (something the size of their PE bag works)
• snack
• packed lunch (unless you order a sack lunch)

Lunch:

If you would like a sack lunch for your student, please order hot lunch beforehand (students with daily hot lunch are all set). Students who do not order hot lunch for the field trip day need to bring their own lunches.

Friday, November 8th - Chumash Indian Museum

• 8am departure from Wesley - please make sure your students arrive at school by 7:45 so we can leave on time.

Itinerary

8:00 am - Departure from Wesley School

9:15 am - Arrival at museum, snack

9:30 am - Museum tour program

12:15 pm - Break for lunch

2:30 pm - Return to Wesley School

What to Bring:

Lunch:

If you would like lunch provided for your student, please order a hot lunch for the day; the school will provide a sack lunch for the field trip. Students who do not order a hot lunch for the field trip day need to bring their own lunches in a clearly labeled disposable bag. Please make sure your student’s sack lunch is all disposable/recyclable so that nothing gets lost.
