In this section, you will find useful information around what your child will be doing each term. Here we will outline your child's spellings, homework, PE days and book that we are sharing in class. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions.
Important days for your child
PE days will be Tuesdays and Thursdays until further notice. I will make parents/carers aware if and when these days change.
Please keep your eyes peeled on the class home page for library trip dates etc.
Homework
Spellings homework will be sent home on a Friday and spellings tests will be the following Friday. Children will also receive an additional piece of homework. This will either be a maths arithmetic or a reading comprehension. If your child misplaces their homework sheets, please let me know and I can provide another one! I also endeavour to upload their spellings on to the class page as well.
We also ask that children spend roughly 30 minutes a week on Doodle Maths and Times Table Rockstars.
Spellings

Reading at Home
It is really important to us that children are reading at home. We ask for children to read with an adult 3 days a week at home. Their reading records are checked for this every Friday.
Book of the term
This term, we will be reading: Here comes Hercules. This is a lighthearted book based around a boy who accidentally comes across the Greek God, Hercules and the adventures they get up to. This book has been chosen because of it's links to our Ancient Greece History topic.
