For my CAS service, my classmates and I participated in our school’s Food Fair by making coconut ladoo, donating traditional food, and volunteering at the booth. Preparing the food was a challenge, as making coconut ladoo required patience and precision to get the right texture. At first, the mixture was either too dry or too sticky, but after adjusting the ingredients and practicing, we finally got it right.
Another challenge was managing the booth. With so many visitors, we had to work efficiently to serve food while explaining the cultural significance behind each dish. Keeping up with the crowd was tiring, but seeing people enjoy the food made it worth it.
Through this experience, I improved my teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills. It also taught me perseverance, as we had to stay organized and adaptable throughout the event. The Food Fair was a meaningful way to share culture while contributing to a good cause.

All criteria of CAS (creativity, activity and service) is done in this project. I have contributed in planning the event, buying the things that are needed for the exhibition, decorating the event and lastly, presenting to the whole school community about Myanmar culture based on 10 of the Myanmar traditional arts. Throughout this CAS, I have developed my communication skill because I need to deliver effective messages to people about this topic. Not only others have become knowledge but also me and my teammates become knowledgeable as we went to a national museum to learn about the culture first and came out with this idea for exhibition. My reflective skill and risk-taker skill have also improved from this project.

For my CAS service, I helped decorate the entire school for Chinese New Year, transforming the space into a festive and welcoming environment. While it seemed like a simple task at first, I quickly realized that decorating on such a large scale required careful planning, teamwork, and problem-solving. Hanging lanterns, banners, and other decorations took more time than expected, as we had to ensure they were properly secured and visually balanced. Some decorations were difficult to place, and we had to find creative solutions to make them work.
Another major challenge was time management. With a strict deadline before the celebrations began, we had to divide tasks efficiently and work quickly without compromising quality. Coordinating with others and making adjustments when things didn’t go as planned required patience and adaptability. Despite the physical exhaustion, I remained committed, knowing that our efforts would bring joy to the school community.
Through this experience, I developed teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills. I also learned the importance of perseverance, as not everything went smoothly, but we found ways to overcome obstacles. Seeing the final decorations come together was incredibly rewarding, and it felt fulfilling to contribute to such a meaningful cultural celebration.

I visited the Mercy Center to donate food and clothes to the children and spend time with them. While I was excited to help, I also felt nervous about how to interact with them. However, as we started coloring together, I saw how happy and engaged they were, which made me feel more comfortable.
One of the challenges was making sure every child felt included. Some were shy at first, so I had to initiate conversations and encourage them to participate despite the fact that there is a language barrier between us. Another challenge was managing time—we had limited hours, so I had to balance distributing donations while still giving the children enough attention.
Despite these challenges, I stayed committed and made the most of every moment. Through this experience, I developed communication, empathy, and adaptability. Seeing their smiles reminded me how small actions can make a big difference, making this service opportunity truly meaningful.
