Visual Literacy:

• Uses line with a variety of media such as printmaking, wax resist, etc. Focuses on the way

artists use line to explore the design possibilities of abstraction.

• Creates depth using overlapping shapes. Uses shape to create natural forms and specific

architecture.

• Expands knowledge of color and its relationships through study of the color wheel.

Continues to develop mixing skills.

• Explores complexities of form and space by using found objects and mixed media. Learns

the process of clay appliqué.

• Develops skills by working with more complex organizations with a focus on symmetry and

asymmetry.

• Approaches assignments with enthusiasm; uses art to express moods, emotions and ideas.
