Welcome to the Goss Lab

Our Focus

The Goss lab is a cellular and molecular biology research group at Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. We study the spatial and temporal regulation of proteins that underlie the cellular processes of cytokinesis, polarized cell growth, and adaptation to environmental changes. Our scientists utilize a variety of quantitative imaging approaches (including fluorescence confocal microscopy and atomic force microscopy) as well as genetic, molecular, and cell biological techniques. Research students from the Goss lab have gone on to a wide range of post-graduate pursuits - see our alumnae page for more information and exciting updates!

Inclusive Excellence

We in the Wellesley College Department of Biological Sciences, including all faculty, staff and students participating in the department, are devoted to improving equity and enhancing student experiences of community, engagement and belonging. We believe that the diversity of our community is central to intellectual growth and development. We are committed to being a learning community that embraces and supports the identities, abilities, life experiences, and aspirations of every member of our community.
