Purpose of Counselling Services: Counselling services help navigate challenges that school, family and relationships present. We see students for many different reasons including managing mental health issues (e.g., anxiety, depression), managing stress, coping with major life changes, improving relationships, and enhancing personal growth and self-awareness.
Professional Counsellors: Our counselling team are trained professionals with expertise in various counselling approaches and techniques. We work collaboratively with our students to identify and work through their unique concerns.
Confidentiality: One of the fundamental principles of counselling is to create a safe confidential trusting relationship and environment. We are legally and ethically bound to keep the information shared during sessions confidential, with few exceptions mandated by law, such as when there is a threat to the client's safety or the safety of others.
