I'm so excited to be teaching the Broadcast Journalism program again this year. My goal as a teacher has always been to teach the basics of Broadcast Journalism and how to produce a daily newscast, but to more importantly show the students the wide variety of career paths available in the Broadcast industry.
I'm pleased to share that we will continue the Kid Witness News (KWN) program and we look forward to our students joining the club and breaking some news.
In addition to teaching, I am also responsible for producing many District media productions. I encourage all students in the Broadcast Journalism classes, as well as the KWN team, to join me for these great practical experiences.
I'm a native of North Jersey, growing up just a few towns away in Kearny. After finishing high school, I served four years in the US Army, stationed in Friedburg, Germany. I then went to back to school graduating from Montclair State University with a BA in Communications and Broadcasting. I spent the next 20 years working in the cable news industry. I feel privileged to be able to bring my years of television news experience to the students of the Weehawken school district.
When not teaching or working in the Broadcast Center you can find me fishing, playing board games or watching my favorite Major League Soccer team, Go Red Bulls!
