Course Objective:
This course is designed to develop a personal appreciation of World Literature, strong writing and research skills and skills in literary research and college level writing. Throughout the course, students will be studying works from a variety of genres and cultural backgrounds while adhering to New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards.
Assignments and Grading Policy
All assignments are graded on a points-based system.
All major assessments are worth 20 points. This includes Prose Constructed Responses, Research Based Essays, Oral Presentations, and Projects.
Multiple choice assignments, including tests are worth 1 point per question.
An assignment with the designation “classwork” is worth 5 points.
Final grades per marking period are calculated as follows:
Total Points Earned / Total Points Possible = Final Score
