What is "music production"?
Music Production is the CREATIVE PROCESS of arranging music and sounds in a
Digital Audio Workstation to CREATE MUSIC that can be played back on demand.
Why should Music Production be taught in schools?
It's CREATIVE (students create their own music rather than working on something composed by someone else)
It's CURRENT (it modernizes music education)
It CONNECTS (any student who loves music can participate, regardless of skill or experience)
It allows CHOICE (not all music students wish to play a live, acoustic instrument - some prefer the digital music option)
It FULFILLS the Arts requirement that all students must meet for graduation requirements in Ontario
