How can I build a personal event schedule?
You can build a personal event schedule for each day of Web Summit.
Search for talks and masterclasses on the ‘Schedule’ tab at the bottom of the event app. Once you find a talk that interests you, tap the calendar icon to add the session to your own personal schedule. You can access your schedule under ‘My schedule’ in the mobile app’s menu.
The schedule icon on the bottom menu bar of the mobile app is your first port of call. It allows you to see the full lineup of talks and other events, divided by the stages they will take place on and by content theme. You can also browse talks by the date on which they take place.
We also recommend talks for you based on the interests listed on your event profile. Just click ‘Recommended’ in the schedule menu to find these options.
Finally, if you want to find a particular talk, you can use the search function. Click the magnifying glass icon in the bottom right corner of the mobile app home screen, cthen select the ‘Sessions’ option at the top of the screen. This allows you to search for talks by speaker name or other keywords.
Once you have found talks that interest you, you can save them in ‘My schedule’.
You can also browse the Web Summit schedule on our website at websummit.com/schedule. Use the filters to see talks by topic, onstage content tracks and format, or simply use the search box to find what you’re looking for.
Our mobile app is your key to finding and connecting with other attendees before Web Summit even starts.
You can use the Explore section of the app to find people you want to meet and to view their attendee profiles. From there, it’s easy to message anyone privately and plan meetings using your personal calendar, or to contact companies and speakers for a one-to-one chat.
Starting a chat with another attendee is simple. When you’ve found someone you’d like to connect with, click the chat icon next to the attendee’s profile picture.
You can also start a new chat in the Chats section of the app. At the bottom of the app screen, tap the Chats icon, then tap the plus symbol to search for attendees by name or keyword.
How can I set up a meeting?
The Web Summit app is your key to connecting with attendees from around the world. The app boasts features designed to help different types of attendees connect:
Companies: Web Summit event partners include the biggest and best tech businesses globally. Using your app, you can identify the companies that you’d like to meet based on mutual interests or your event aims, and then schedule meetings.
Investors and startups: Web Summit’s startup-focused events – such as roundtable discussions, masterclasses delivered by VCs and entrepreneurs, and investor to startup meetings – help the world’s most innovative startups meet experienced investors looking for the next big thing.
Featured attendees will have access to the back end of your company profile. Talk to your Partner Success manager about adding team members to your profile (Max 6).
When these team members access their own event profile via the web app, your company profile will appear on the menu on the left of the screen. From here, your team can download information from attendees who have connected with the company and view meeting requests that have come in.
You can access the Web Summit Web App here.
When an attendee clicks the connect button on the company profile, they agree to share their contact details and event profile information with the partner.
You can download connections’ details from your partner profile in the web app. In order to access the connections you must be a featured attendee on the company profile.
Your connections will be visible from the partner admin tab which can be accessed by clicking on your profile picture in the top right corner.
It is recommended that you check this section regularly as you will not receive a notification when an attendee connects.
When an attendee clicks connect, they will share their event data with you, including:
Name
Email address
Job title
Company
Location
This data can be used for various marketing purposes after the event has concluded, however it must be used in compliance with your own company privacy policy.
The following activations and activities will feature on your partner profile:

Talks that you feature in
Your attendee perk (if included in your package)
Your Jobs Board listing (if included in your package)
If an attendee selects your perk, they will receive an email detailing your offer.
The Web Summit app provides participants with a lead scanning function. Once an attendee’s QR code is scanned a request will appear in the attendee’s app to approve the scan. Only if this is accepted, will the attendee’s information appear in the “My Scans” section. At the end of the event, if accepted, all scanned attendee information can be exported via email. To find more information, please see our lead scanning section here.
