All media attending Web Summit Qatar, both international and local (including Qatari Citizens or QID holders), must submit an application via the Hayya Media Portal to obtain a Hayya Entry Permit and/ or Hayya Media Accreditation.
Qatari Citizens or QID holders must apply to obtain only the Hayya Media Accreditation. This accreditation is required as well as your Web Summit Qatar ticket issued to you already by us.
You can apply via the Hayya Media Portal (linked below), through which you can also obtain a standardised Film Permit if you wish to film across touristic locations in Qatar and/or plan to bring hand-held equipment, which require clearance at the airport / land border. For more information on the process of equipment clearance please refer to the manuals linked below.
We recommend applying as soon as possible to allow time for your application to be processed. Application processing usually takes around one week.

Log into the Hayya Media Portal
Please note: If you have an existing Hayya account from before, you must use that account. Please do not create a new account if you already have a Hayya account. If you would like to update your Hayya account email, please contact media@hayya.qa
If you do not already have a Hayya account, you can go ahead and create one.
Select Web Summit Qatar 2025 as the event and submit the required information and attachments.
Credentials: You will need to upload a copy of your Web Summit Qatar onboarding email. You can search for the email ‘Web Summit Qatar 2025’ in your inbox and take a screenshot or export the email as a pdf and upload to your application.
Registration reference number: You will be asked to provide your 'Registration reference number' which is your Web Summit Qatar ticket reference number that can be found in your onboarding email.
Photo Compliance: Kindly ensure that the submitted photo complies with immigration laws. It should be positioned with the head centered, extend to shoulder level, and be a clear colour photo. Additionally, note that social media profile pictures are not acceptable.
Passport Copy Requirements for Specific Nationalities: For applicants from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Syria, it is imperative that the attached passport copy includes both the first and last (detailed) pages in a single scanned colour copy.
You’re all set! You will receive your Hayya Entry Permit, Hayya Media Accreditation and Film Permit over email once your application has been processed and approved.
Whilst filming around Qatar, please have your Web Summit Qatar accreditation and Film Permit with you at all times.

Before departing from your home city, please ensure your Hayya Entry Permit has been approved and you have received the permit over email. You will not be allowed to enter the State of Qatar without a valid Hayya Entry Permit.
Hamad International Airport (DOH), is the main international gateway to Qatar. It’s a 30-minute drive from the venue Doha Exhibition & Convention Center (DECC).
Please note: All travel and accommodation arrangements are the responsibility of the individual, and must be made independent of Web Summit Qatar.
If you’re travelling from outside of Qatar, please be sure to check whether you need a visa to enter the country.
See the application requirements and required documents here. While we will not engage directly with your relevant embassy, we can supply you with a letter confirming you will be attending Web Summit Qatar in order to support your application.
Please note: It is solely your responsibility to assess and manage your visa requirements. It may take some time for your embassy to process your visa application. Please be sure to request your visa in plenty of time before your anticipated date of travel. Your embassy should be able to give you an idea of average waiting periods for visa processing.You can request a letter by logging in to our attendee portal using your login email or ticket reference. This login information can be found in your onboarding email. Follow these instructions:
Using the link above, you'll first need to complete your Web Summit Qatar profile if you haven't done so already. Once you're done, click 'Complete Profile' and you'll be taken to the Attendee documents page.
On the Attendee documents page, click 'Request confirmation letter' and add your personal details, as per your passport (name, nationality, country of residence, passport number and date of birth).
Once completed, your letter will be emailed to your login email address shortly after.
NOTE: You can only apply once for this letter, so you must ensure that you enter your information correctly.
