The goal of the pathway program at NUAMES is for students to get the best foundational knowledge in medicine before beginning college courses with college professors. All of the credits earned through the pathway are considered elective credits (most associate and bachelor's degrees require a set number of elective credits). The goal of the pathway is to help you know early if healthcare is the best choice for your future and to explore the many jobs in healthcare to figure out where you will do best.
A guided plan for the best high school classes to take each year
A mentor to help answer your questions and guide you through the program
A path to help you complete a capstone project required for NUAMES graduation
A great elective program that can be used when applying for college or scholarships
Earn a completion certificate from NUAMES, the state of Utah board of Education, and a pin to wear at graduation.
When you feel you have completed the pathway, you can print or make a digital copy of the document below. Make sure you have verified your HOSA membership and have a copy of your transcripts with the classes highlighted before you submit your final draft to Mrs. Christensen. The volunteer hour sheet (the second page of the application) must also be completed. All pathway applications must be submitted before the end of April.
