Competitive Event List and Guidelines - We have a state and international competition for students to participate in. We will talk about the many events students can do during our meetings and you can go to this link to read more about them.
NUAMES HOSA meetings will be during lunch for both Campuses on the First and Third Wednesdays or Thursdays of the month (A days Davis campus, B days Ogden campus). in Mrs. Christensen's Room
$20.00 fee to join we will may also order T-shirts and Scrubs for those who choose to purchase them.
HOSA - A Career and Technical Student Organization designed to develop future leaders for healthcare careers. You do not need to be in a health science class to participate in HOSA.
HOSA participation provides opportunities for students to:
• develop effective leadership qualities and skills
• enhance communication skills
• develop critical thinking and problem-solving
• participate in community service activities
• build self-esteem through individual and group achievement
• develop character and responsible citizenship traits
• set goals for life-long learning and make realistic career choices
• network with health care professionals and peers who have similar goals and access to student scholarship opportunities.
Two years of active HOSA participation is required for the NUAMES Pre-Medical Pathway program.
