Welcome to Meyer.FYI

My name is Rick Meyer and I am an Earth Science and Technology educator with a love of the Great Lakes (more information on my Engage! blog). My wife, Cathy and I live in Brainerd, MN. I taught science in Two Harbors, MN and at the Pine River-Backus school district I was the technology coordinator until May of 2019. I am currently working at the Brainerd Regional Extension Office in a support position.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with a bachelor's degree. My licensure is in Teaching Broad Area Science (grades 5-9) and Earth Science (grades 7-12). My master's degree is from The Ohio State University - School of Natural Resources.
