WHAT IS DUAL CREDIT?
Dual credit courses earn high school credit and college credit at the same time. • As long as the student earns a “C” or better in the class, credit will be awarded for high school and college. • College courses eligible for high school credit are identified on the WISD / WC Course Crosswalk (see below) Only courses on the approved crosswalk are eligible to earn high school credit. • College courses are challenging and students should be aware of the increased rigor. The course can be taught at the high school by a professor or in an online setting.

The dual credit enrollment process is very important in ensuring that students meet qualifications and are enrolled in the dual credit courses of their preference. Students must meet deadlines to continue through the process to enroll in dual credit courses.
Step 1: Attend mandatory Dual Credit meeting on 11/30/2023 during Roo Expo. Meeting begins @5:45 in the WHS Cafeteria.
Step 2: Students will utilize Canvas to complete the enrollment process. Detailed instructions on how to complete each step will be located in Canvas.
Step 3: Sign up to take the TSIA2. To be eligible to participate in dual credit, students are required to meet the admissions criteria of Weatherford College, which includes completion of the TSIA2 assessment (reading, writing, & math).
Once students complete the Weatherford College enrollment steps, and meet the required scores on the required assessment, students are eligible to enroll in courses
