This is a really important part of The Rite Journey.

The Departure Ceremony is an opportunity for parents and caregivers to give their blessing and support for the school to work with your child throughout the year. It is an opportunity to connect with your child and recognise the phase of life they are moving towards. This will be completed at home at a time convenient for your family, within a time frame provided by school.

What it involves

For The Departure ceremony there are a couple of things we would like parents/ caregivers to have prepared:

1. A letter of love for your child which forms the basis of the ceremony. We will provide lots of prompts and guidance if you would like it.

2. Think about items that reflect your daughters childhood...perhaps it is a teddy bear, a photo, a favourite book or toy, etc to include in the ceremony.
