For shoot 5 I aim to capture the ballet tutus in a creative way of hanging them from a coathanger rack which will develop my understanding and learning with different angles and perspectives.
I was unable to find many artist models for my idea for shoot 5. But I would like to take inspiration from this photograph for my shoot 5 with hanging the ballet tutus.
Shoot 5 went really well for me. I enjoyed the creativity in this shoot. I had a strong idea on what I wanted to achieve for this shoot, which was to incorporate the tutu element of ballet with my overall theme. I was really happy with some of the photos but unfortunately I wasn't able to hang more than one tutu on the coat hanger rack as it was not big enough, so I then came up with the idea to photograph the tutus all together on the ground and I am super happy with the way they turned out.
My idea for shoot 6 is to combine the concepts of the ballet pointe shoes with the model/dancer. To do this I have purchased some light pink ribbon (to keep with my colour scheme of soft colours) and I want to wrap this around my models body and photograph the details of her body.
Using this image from Ses & Jen ( a new zealand photographer ), I want to produce similar photos trying to capture the details of the models body and incorporating the ribbon. The only difference is that I will not be making my images black and white as I want to stay with my colour scheme.
Shoot 6 went well for me. I was able to get some really nice photos. I am happy with the way the ribbon looked in my photographs. Although I feel like I got a little lost with coming up with heaps of different ideas to capture the model with the ribbon in different positions. Overall I am happy with the way this shoot went for me.
My aim for shoot 7 is to capture the expectation and reality behind a ballet dancers feet in pointe. I want to photograph the feet in the pointe shoes and well as bare foot. I will also be taking photos of the legs and feet at different angles.
I will be taking inspiration from Tyler's photograph 'Pointe' for shoot 7. I hope to recreate this photo but with out the same backdrop colour.
Shoot 7 is by far my favourite shoot I have done this year. The photo's turned out exactly how I imagined them. I was pleasantly surprised at how the lighting turned out as I did this shoot in the garage while it was raining. I believe that my recreation of my artist models photograph is very similar and turned out really well. I also took inspiration from many other photos (as seen above under 'More Inspiration Photo's for Shoot 7' above) and I was able to recreate them very well. I am very happy with this shoot and I think that it will add so much more depth of thinking to my final folio board as these photos capture the art of ballet extremely strongly.
For my very last shoot of the year, I wanted to take close up photographs of some makeup products as well as the tutus. To extend my idea of makeup and the tutu costume in relation to my theme of ballet dance.
Shoot 8 was a shoot to extend and go into detail on the makeup and costume (tutu's) element on my folio board. I did struggle with the lighting in the garage today but using lightroom I was able to edit the photos to the lighting I wanted. I am actually really happy with a small group of photo's that I got out of the shoot, and I hope that they will add more range of idea and detail to my final folio and it's final grade.
