Expectation vs Reality
I will be using these four artist models in my next few shoots. With the photo by Jack Mitchell and the photo by Edward Weston I can combine these into one shoot. I want to explore using my model in strange positioning and using more use of the body. In this shoot I want to try incorporate the use of ribbon which will tie back into the idea of the ribbon on the ballet shoes and I aim to wrap the ribbon around the models body and do some really close up photos as well as photos with the whole body in the shot. With the photo by Annette Messager I want to do something very similar but hopefully with a ballet tutu and the ballet shoes. I aim to hang them on coat hangers and then up on a clothing rack. And with the photo by Henry Leutwyler I want to recreate this exact image. This image will hopefully shoe the reality of what a ballet dancers feet look like underneath the pointe shoes. I will also take more images but focusing solely on the pointe shoes and their significance in ballet dance.
