Shoot 5 artist model is Ablerado Morell and will be my first shoot under my new theme investigation of Twilight. To explore Ablerado's work I will photograph up close in nature and texture. The shoot location will be back at the Hamilton Lake however, I now am equipped with more skills to know how to get the particular shots that I want after the initial shoot at that location (shoot 2). I will focus on the natural aspect of the twilight aesthetic e.g trees, bark, shrubs grass etc. ass well as going in the evening to get darker blue and green colours shots wich will also really help enahce the twilight aesthetic that I am going for. I feel like this shoot will help me in expanding my work to a level.

Four Tree Trunks - 2013
This shoot was slightly challenging. After having the idea/theme change going back to a previous shoot location (Hamilton Lake) with a new idea in mind was hard. I had to try to find new perspectives and things to photograph with the new theme in mind, without having too much repetition from shoot 2. Using the artist model Ablerado Morell was helpful. His techniques of looking at the texture of nature really helped with get new ideas in my photos and overall turned out quite well. One other problem I found with this shoot is I could generate many pictures and out of the ones I did there's only a select few that I feel could potentially be used.
For shoot 6 I will be expanding my idea by using a new location (Tauhara Park) in addition to introducing a model into this shoot. Shoot 6 will be mostly experimental, this means I will be exploring the idea of using a model and what looks good or bad for future shoots. The new location should work cohesively with my previous shoots e.g being outdoors in nature however, will hopefully add new direction and depth to my photos which, are now being taken under my new theme of Twilight. The park has a lot of greenery that will help with the colours I want to experiment with. There is no distinct artist model that I had chosen for this shoot as it is solely experimental and it is yet to be determined how the photos will go with using the model.
This shoot was definitely a step in the right direction. Introducing the model has helped me realise that I would not have been able to generate enough work with a range of different ideas if I had continued just photographing nature without a model involved. Under my old theme of dreams. I like how it still works with my previous shoots as she is seen in nature and not in a setting that would be completely out of the blue such as the city or a house. Experimenting with my model in this shoot inspired my creativity and gave me a fresh direction in which to take my photography. It was difficult not having an artist model as it was, just experimentation however after discussing with my teacher I have decided on a clear direction for my next shoot. I will be using the model again but this time I will investigate the texture, light and landscape that the model is in.
The artist model selected for shoot 7 is Anna Gaskell. I will be conducting the shoot in Raglan at the beach. This will give me much more range to experiment with the environment and the details of said environment with the model in it. Being at the beach I will be able to introduce the aspect of ocean/water to my photos. At this point, the shoot will still be under my new theme of Twilight however, I want to focus more on the model I introduced in shoot 6 alongside key features of Anna Gaskell's work, such as detailed perspective shots. My goal for this shoot is to avoid recreating photos taken in shoot 6, instead with the new location and artist model I will hopefully be able to portray a new 'feel' for this shoot.

Untitled #19 Wonder Series
This shoot went really well. I love how the pictures turned out and feel as though my work has finally taken a new direction. Using a model and the new location of Raglan Beach the shoot was definitely a step in the right direction. I feel it brings a new element to my work as before this my work was being to repetitive and no new ideas were coming through. I like how the focus is more on the figure/ outfit of the model and more subjective rather than being a portrait shot of her face which has a more faceless look to it. From here I want to experiment more in this new location maybe without the model and focus more on the environment she is in.
Shoot 8 will be shot in Raglan on the beach and at Wainui Reserve. This is the same location as the previous shoot however this time I will not be using a model in my pictures. My goal for this shoot is to investigate the landscape of the coast and the details within that. I will use the New Zealand artist model Ann Shelton. I will focus on using a varying range of shots from close-ups to wide shots to ensure I will have plenty of photos to work with. I will also focus on the ocean/water, this aspect was introduced in the previous shoot and I feel as though its important I carry this aspect through so that it remains strong in my work. I will carry out the shoot in the afternoon/evening to ensure I have ideal lighting and can also catch the cast of shadows etc.

Chemistry, White Island
This shoot went really well. The results were what I had envisioned and I now have lots of potential photos to use. I loved the lighting in the photos especially where it casts shadows which was a goal of mine for the shoot and why I decided to do it in the late afternoon/evening. Using Ann Shelton as an artist model was beneficial as it has added another aspect to my work that I have not previously done, while still fitting cohesively with my other shoots. The look of the mirrored image is simple yet so effective which I really like, I did this by selecting some of my favourite images and editing them in camera raw. Overall this was a very successful shoot. I do feel although I've strayed a bit from my theme however I'm not to concerned with that right now. I have become more interested in light and texture, and the overall feel of the photos.
For shoot 9 I will be photographing in the school studio. I will gather a variety of my favorite pictures I have taken from previous shoots as well as images of patterns and solid colours. My goal is to use a projector and project these images onto my model. For this shoot, I will be using two artist model's the first being Nick Fancher, for his work I will project images of patterns and some of my own images. The second artist model is Chritopher Bucklow, for this artist model I will source a variety of solid colour backgrounds that I can project onto my model. These two artist model will work well as the both require a projector to gain the effect of their work the difference is that one uses patterns and one uses solid colour, which works well for this particular shoot as I am interested in both.
Nick Francher + Christopher Bucklow.
Key features: Colour - pattern - use of projector - having a model - shadow - light.

This shoot was very sucsessful. Compared to the other shoots I have done this one definitely stands out. At the same time it still relates to, and works well with my previous shoots. The pattern and texture being projected onto the model's face resembles the experimentation I have previously done with texture (Nick Francher). The use of the artist model (Christopher Bucklow) has aided in bringing in the use of colour while still involving shadow which I had already previously explored. Overall I have no complaints with this shoot. The set up of the projector was a little time-consuming but nothing effected the quality of the shoot. I feel this shoot has really enhanced my work while still fitting in with what I am exploring.
