French 7

Students who choose to study French in 7th grade will have French for one semester. This semester, combined with their 8th grade year of French, equates to the Level 1 French course. Students who successfully complete the 7th and 8th grade French program at West De Pere Middle School are prepared for and may take French II their freshman year in high school.

In French 7, students will be able to have simple conversations in French, including greeting others, introducing themselves and presenting basic information about themselves, including name, age, where they live, and their likes and dislikes. Students will also learn about the French culture. The learning in French 7 lays the foundation for all future learning in French!
