Students who take French in middle school and high school are eligible to earn college credits. This allows for a considerable savings to students and their parents as they look to pursue higher education! Students who take French every year of their middle school and high school career will be in French 5 their senior year. When students are in French 5, they have the opportunity to take French 5 for College Credit through CCiHS (College Credit in high school) through UWGB. They register for the college course French 202. For that course, they earn 3 credits. With a B or better in the course, they earn 11 retroactive credits for the three courses they skipped (French 101, 102 and 201). Those credits can be applied to gen eds at the college level and/or be used towards a French minor/major.
