Cultivates Community Partnerships
Cultivates partnerships within the school and local community (including families and caregivers, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, public and higher education libraries, businesses) to promote engagement and a community of readers.
Current Practices & Artifacts:
Collaborated with the Ashwaubenon School District and places in the community to create WiscoVR.org, a virtual field trip website
Works with the De Pere Cinema to show a movie for families as the culminating event for the family book club
Promotes programs from the public library
Assists with school community events like Literacy Night, Family Book Club, graduation, academic competitions, and extra-curricular events
Continues to upkeep the library websites as a hub for our school community and beyond
Worked with the high school Technology Education department to set up Trades Career Fair with local businesses to recruit students for future employment opportunities
Coordinated field trip opportunities with local companies to help secondary staff recognize what future ready skills are needed from our district students post high school as a part of our technology-focused teacher in-service day

Attends bi-weekly virtual librarian meetings hosted by Monica Treptow, the School Library Media Education Consultant from DPI

Form a stronger collaboration with the Kress Public Library/Brown County Library system
Connecting educators and students with experts in content fields for guest speaking opportunities, inquiry projects and career opportunities
