Invests Strategically in Digital Resources
Leverages an understanding of school and community needs to identify and invest in digital resources such as books and ebooks to support student learning.
Current Practices & Artifacts:
Manage Common School Funds to purchase books, technology, and materials for the libraries
Purchase and maintain online subscriptions that support teachers building-wide
Invested in SORA after recognizing the need for e-book access for students during the start of the pandemic
Analyze digital resource usage to determine value of renewing subscriptions
Run Titlewave Collection analysis at least twice a year to support weeding and purchasing decisions
Seek input from staff and students for purchase requests
Moved away from purchasing informational books for middle and high school since digital resources are more cost effective and easier to maintain currency
Opportunities for Growth:
Promote free resources such as Badgerlink and the Brown County Library program
Consistently review resources and new alternatives to fit within budget constraints when applicable
Find new and/or additional resources for staff
