About Me

Hello! My name is Ms. Sowers. I am the Theatre Director at Edgewood IB Schools. I teach all levels of theatre here at Edgewood: Middle School Theatre, High School Theatre 1, Theatre 2, and IB Theatre Arts HL Years 1 and 2. I am advisor to Drama Club, National English Honors Society (NEHS) and English Language Arts Honor Society (ELA). I am also the High School Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) department chair. I am a proud graduate of Chapman University ('08) with a B.F.A. in Theatre Performance, Birmingham University's Shakespeare Institute ('12) with a M.A. in Shakespeare Studies, and University of California Riverside ('19) with a M.Ed. in General Education. Teaching is my greatest passion. I love Shakespeare, travel, and my dog Bodie!
