The SPSEA chapter at West Chester University is a part of the Southeast Region of Pennsylvania. Our organization is the largest student-run organization on West Chester's campus, where we have members ranging from freshman to seniors. According to our RamConnect Membership statistics, approximately 40 of our members graduated at the end of the 2023-24 school year, and at the start of this school year, we had about 55 new members show interest in our organization! We are excited to continue reaching and working with the educators of tomorrow!

Our Four Committees - What are they?
Community Service Committee
This committee's focus is on serving the community inside and outside of our campus. Examples of events held by the CS committee include food drives, creating cards for local students, bake sales, holiday bag making, and more!
Membership/Leadership Committee
The goal of our Membership Committee is to grow relationships and communication among members in SPSEA, as well as help improve members' leadership skills. This committee hosts events ranging from stress-relieving nights to time for painting and arts and crafts.
Professional Development Committee
The goal of the Professional Development Committee is to host events that can grow upon members' professional development. Some events held by PD include guest speakers, conversations about resume building, learning about teacher self-care, and more.
PACE Committee
Our PACE committee, which stands for Political Action and Community Engagement, stays up to date with the politics that affect educators' lives. Some events held by this committee include voting drives, discussions about important topics such as book banning, and more.
