Edpuzzle- Shapes Colors and Counting
Students will be able to identify and understand numbers 1–20 by watching a video and answering interactive questions to demonstrate comprehension.
Edpuzzle enhances learning by transforming videos into interactive lessons where students must actively engage with the content. Instead of passively watching, students answer questions throughout the video, which helps reinforce understanding and maintain attention.
Use audio and visual supports to help different types of learners
Allow students to pause and replay the video as needed
Ensure access across multiple devices (Chromebooks, tablets, phones)
Provide simple, clear questions appropriate for kindergarten level
Edpuzzle is a strong tool for kindergarten students because it turns videos into active learning experiences. Young learners often enjoy watching videos, and Edpuzzle builds on this by requiring them to interact with the content. The embedded questions help students stay focused and think about what they are learning. The combination of visuals and audio supports different learning styles, especially for early learners. Students can replay parts of the video, which allows them to learn at their own pace and review information as needed. The questions provide opportunities for students to check their understanding throughout the lesson. This helps teachers quickly identify areas where students may need additional support. Edpuzzle also encourages participation and keeps students engaged. Overall, it makes learning more interactive, meaningful, and effective.
Standard Chosen: Analyst (2.7)
The ISTE Educator Standard of Analyst focuses on using technology to assess and support student learning. Edpuzzle aligns with this standard because it allows teachers to monitor student responses and track understanding through embedded questions. The data collected helps identify student strengths and areas for improvement. This allows teachers to adjust instruction based on student needs. By using Edpuzzle, I am using technology to make informed decisions and provide targeted support. This demonstrates how digital tools can be used effectively to improve both teaching and learning outcomes.
