The tools used in this phase connect strongly to the SAMR and TPACK models by showing how technology can enhance and transform learning. The SAMR model explains how technology use can move from simple substitution to more meaningful transformation of learning tasks . In this project, Edpuzzle and Vocabee go beyond basic use by making learning interactive through questions, games, and student participation, which reflects the modification and redefinition levels. Additionally, TPACK is demonstrated by combining content (numbers, animals), pedagogy (interactive and student-centered learning), and technology (digital tools) to create effective lessons. These tools show that technology is not just being used for convenience, but to improve engagement, understanding, and overall learning outcomes.
The ISTE Educator Standard of Leader focuses on educators using technology to improve teaching and support student success. Throughout this project, I demonstrated this standard by selecting and implementing tools like Edpuzzle and Vocabee to enhance student learning. These tools show how technology can be used in meaningful ways to increase engagement and support different learning needs. By designing interactive and accessible activities, I am modeling effective technology use that could be shared with other educators. This reflects leadership because I am not only using technology in my own teaching but also demonstrating how it can improve instruction and student outcomes. Overall, this project shows how teachers can lead by example in integrating technology in purposeful and impactful ways.
