Start of Year Items:

*You need to bring a three-ring binder and writing utensils to class each day*

Marshmallow Tower Challenge Group Norms:

Dylan, Nikkie, William - started off bad with the no-talking, hard to work through, in the end, the three extra minutes paid off, no talking part but we had an idea of what we wanted to do, it worked out fine
Jacob, Aine, Jenna - decided to use the table to support it, went well with the no talking, not super different, made up plan initially, even when we could talk we didn't need to
Iris, Hannah, Rachel - table helped us, supported the pasta, tried and it fell over and broke, started over and tried again doing it a bit differently, wrote notes on a piece of paper when we couldn't talk, bit of a head start on the brainstorm when we wrote it down
Colby, Abbie, Gabe - had a decent plan but the spaghetti was too flimsy, base was sturdy, tower was too flimsy, crossed the spaghetti into the marshmallow, no talking was confusing to try and understand what someone was trying to say

PREPAREDNESS

Be on time, in your seat and ready by the second bell.

Show up prepared everyday:

Have a pen or pencil, handouts, paper and textbooks, chromebook, water, etc.

Stay organized; use your planner.

Avoid plagiarism.

If you miss a class, check online classrooms before returning.

Respectfully take care of snacks and bathroom breaks.

TECHNOLOGY

Put cell phones in your bag before class.

Chromebooks are only to be used when directed.

Your teacher will you when technology is appropriate.
