CSO Field Trip: Home Alone in Concert

Wheatland 6–8th Grade Bands are heading to Symphony Center (220 S Michigan Ave, Chicago) to hear the Chicago Symphony Orchestra perform Home Alone live with the film on Friday, December 12, 2025.

Departure: 2:00 PM from Wheatland • Concert: 7:30 PM • Return: about 10:30–11:00 PM (traffic-dependent).

We’ll stop at Gurnee Mills for dinner in the food court on the way down. Please send money for dinner. Transportation is by bus. Students are welcome to bring a nut-free snack for the ride home. We’ll also provide snacks and water.

Chaperones are welcome! I plan to bring lots of chaperones to this event.

What to bring: money for dinner, comfortable school-appropriate attire, and a charged phone (if they have one) to keep you updated on return timing.

Cost

Student Cost: $65 per student. If cost is a concern, please don't hesitate to reach out. Our goal is for every student who wants to attend to be able to do so.

Chaperone Cost: $90. Thanks to fundraising, student tickets are subsidized; if two parents attend, one can receive the student-rate ticket.
