There are three EL (English Learners) Teachers at Coahulla Creek
High School who support EL students through a push-in model.
Each teacher's role is to serve as the secondary teacher in content
courses to assist ELs with coursework, academic vocabulary, and
assessment.
Hay tres maestros EL (estudiantes de inglés) en Coahulla Creek
Preparatoria que apoyan a los estudiantes EL a través de un modelo
push-in. El papel de cada maestro es servir como maestro de
secundaria en el contenido cursos para ayudar a los EL con trabajos

Amanda Marti
Hello Colt Family! I have been teaching for 23 years. I enjoy working with English Learners and am amazed at how fast they learn new content and academic language. When not in the classroom, I spend time with my family. I have three sons and we enjoy hiking and camping.
¡Hola familia Colt! He estado enseñando durante 23 años. Disfruto trabajar con estudiantes de inglés y me sorprende lo rápido que aprenden nuevos contenidos y lenguaje académico. Cuando no estoy en el salón de clases, paso tiempo con mi familia. Tengo tres hijos y nos gusta caminar y acampar.

Penny Turso
I am so excited to join the Colts' Family as an English Learner teacher. I have been a teacher for 30.5 years (all at North Whitfield). I had multiple years of experience with English Learners as the primary teacher and I am looking forward to this new and meaningful role.
When I am not working, I love to spend time with my husband and our three sons. I also love to craft, read, and anything related to sports.
Estoy muy emocionada de unirme a la familia de los Colts como maestra de estudiantes de inglés. He sido maestra durante 30.5 años (todos en North Whitfield). Tuve varios años de experiencia con los aprendices de inglés como maestra principal y espero con ansias este rol nuevo y significativo.
Cuando no estoy trabajando, me encanta pasar tiempo con mi esposo y nuestros tres hijos. También me encanta hacer manualidades, leer y todo lo relacionado con los deportes.
