Grading and Measuring Progress
Student learning will be assessed/evaluated according to:
✔ Teacher observations
✔ Informal assessments (conference notes, running records, i-Ready diagnostic testing)
✔ Completion and quality of class work
✔ Class and cooperative group participation
✔ Test results, including:
Fountas and Pinnell Benchmark Reading Assessment
Teachers College Running Records
Fundations Unit Tests
Writing Benchmarks
i-Ready Math curriculum tests and quizzes
Science and Social Studies Unit Tests and quizzes
✔ Completion and quality of homework assignments
✔ Completion of special projects
The following key is used on the 3nd grade report card:
4.0 - Student is Excelling in Grade Level Standards
3.0 - Student is Proficient in Grade Level Standards
2.0 - Student is Partially Proficient in Grade Level Standards
1.0 - Student is Performing Far Below Proficient in Grade Level Standards
