Summer Reading 2021

Parents and Students:

Last June, your child's teacher should have given them the above summer reading packet which outlines the requirement for summer reading. Regents (Periods 4,5,8,9) students are responsible for reading ONE book of their CHOOSING over the summer and will be completing a written assignment (ONE page max) in google classroom during class during the last week of September.

HONORS (Period 1) are responsible for reading TWO books. One of their choosing, and the other a REQUIRED titled:

• Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson

• The Boys in the Boat (Young Reader’s Adaptation) by Daniel James Brown

• The Red Pencil by Andrea Davis Pinkney

• Full Cicada Moon by Marilyn Hilton

Honors students will be submitting their ONE page written assignment via google classroom in class during the last week of September.
