We will learn how to grow many ideas into our own books this year.

We will write small moment books, fiction books, realistic fiction books and poems. We will practice drawing our way across pages and using our phonics skills to get our thoughts to a page.

We use a workshop model for writing. This means we explore a skill together using a mentor text, demonstrate how to put pencil to paper together and then  students go off to apply this skill to their own ideas on the same genre. Lastly we come together to share our work and for closure.
