The main objective of World Language is to reach a level of functional competency with the language. Occupations incorporating World language skills range from fine arts and communication to international trade and government. Essential skills needed involve: the ability to memorize lists of vocabulary words and, a working knowledge of grammar, good organizational skills as well as good study habits to stay caught up on daily written assignments, and a willingness to speak the language in front of others. The students will be expected to read, write and speak the language on a daily basis. Two years of world language may be required for some colleges.
