Course: World Studies: Revolution
Description: Fall Semester
Upon completion of this semester-long course, students will be able to understand major world movements that continue to impact us today beginning with the Age of Absolutism in Europe to pre-WWI imperialism. Units of study include the rise of absolute monarchies, Scientific Revolution and Enlightenment, the French Revolution and Napoleon, world revolutions, the Industrial Revolution, Cultural Revolution and imperialism prior to WWI. There will be an emphasis on development of life skills such as reliable research, public speaking, critical thinking and teamwork.
Note: This course is offered 1st semester ONLY and is followed by World Studies: Modern in the 2nd semester.Â
