Course: World Studies: Reform
Description: Spring Semester
Upon completion of this semester-long course, the student will understand world history beginning with the Middle Ages and the Crusades and ending with the Age of Exploration. Units of study include the Middle Ages, the Crusades, rise of major world religions, the Renaissance, the Reformation, Counter-Reformation, and the Age of Exploration. There will be an emphasis on development of historical academic skills such as utilizing reliable research, public speaking, usage of primary and secondary sources, and critical thinking.
*This course includes substantial information about the creation and impact of major world religions, if this would be a problem, it is recommended that you take Revolution and Modern World Studies.
Note: This course is offered 2nd semester ONLY and World Studies: Prehistory must be taken first.
