Course: Forensic Science
Description: Fall Semester
This elective course will look at various aspects of forensic science and modern criminal investigation analysis. This course focuses on problem-solving, with an emphasis on writing, using experimentation, theorization, research forensic methodologies, synthesized information, and evidence-based conclusions. This knowledge will be applied to forensic investigation and the identification of remains. In addition, the course will cover selected topics in observations, collecting evidence, body language, hair & fiber analysis, fingerprinting, DNA comparisons, document investigation, forgery, toxicology, and serology. Students will write reports that record their results, conclusions, and analysis of case studies and investigations.
